HND accounting and finance award is tailored for those who want to pursue a career in accounting and/or financial administration within the domain of business organisations.
HND in Business (Accounting and Finance) gives you a wide-range of knowledge and understanding of financial planning and limitations. It covers:

- the grouping and analysis of cost data for the purpose of management;
- budget planning and control;
- making financial statements for different business types along with applicability
- legal and regulatory arrangements; accounting and management controlling systems
- an assessment of their effectiveness; and the process of taxation of individuals and limited companies

The credits gained on an HND are equal to the first two years of an undergraduate programme, a lot of universities in the United Kingdom and internationally can offer you a seat on the third or final year of a degree course (rather than making you start at the beginning).

The overall duration of the HND (Year1 + Year 2) is 2 years which leads on to the final year of an undergraduate programme.
Each individual unit carries 15 credits. You are required to secure 240 credits to complete your HND in accounting and finance.
